Tennis Lesson Reviews
LEO & SHERILYNHow I met Jun was when he walked over to me and offered to give me some tips while I was practicing my tennis serve. The moment he demonstrated, I know he is the guy I need to train under. You will know what I mean if you see him play.
I have been to 2 tennis academy/ schools (without naming but you can easily Google them), by far I have learnt the most under him. He is the only tennis coach that pushed me to my limit and more importantly, demonstrated the technique instead of just “preaching” the theory, which is where we can learn the most. Nothing beats having a coach demonstrating it with real strength and combining it with theory. Lastly, he is always SUPER on time! Something that I don’t see in my past tennis lessons. |

CHOW ZHENG YUANI’d do a review of his lessons and methods so that you can decide if he is the tennis coach for you. I am a 3.8 all rounded tennis player who enjoys singles match play. I had in mind what I needed to improve on but have little clue of what I’m doing wrong, which is why I sought him out as my coach. We started off with an evaluation session to assess my play-ability so it was mainly him observing my ground strokes, serves and volley. We spent the first 3 tennis lessons working on footwork and establishing a stable form when hitting from all corners of the court. By contrast most people place focus on the upper body and swing but neglect their footwork which plays an equally important part in a forehand stroke. The next few tennis lessons were on developing a more powerful first serve, which he was able to pick out a couple of mistakes such as insufficient forearm pronation and incorrect racket take back. With these corrected I have managed to develop a much quicker but most importantly, a confident first serve. We also ran through a few tennis lessons of singles game strategy, in which we did drills to increase my % of shots in, together with developing better shot selection, and when to go for winners. This has been the greatest help so far in developing consistency to win tennis matches.
Jun is both friendly and patient, and would not mind spending a little extra time on the tennis court to see his students improve. I highly recommend him to intermediate to advanced level players anywhere between 3.0-4.5 who are looking to develop consistency, better match play strategies, and a huge serve (his trademark), he WILL pickup your mistakes and make you a better tennis player! And for those looking to pickup the sport. |
LEE MAYVery clear and precise pointers that made a whole lot of difference! Would never have realized that all the little tweaks which Coach Jun had pointed out can result in so much improvement to my groundstrokes! Thanks Coach!
KAREN FONGJun is a fantastic tennis coach! He is very patient and hardworking. As a beginner he has helped me to gain confidence in my swing and footwork around the tennis court. There is always laughs and fun during the tennis lesson and he makes sure that I am always progressing and learning during our tennis lessons.
YR CNWYJun has coached me from barely being able to hit a ball to having the right technique and confidence to play better. I look forward to my tennis lessons every week and improving with Jun. If you are looking for an affordable and sincere tennis coach, look no further. His tennis lesson pacing is methodical to ensure you are confident and successful with each new technique he taught before moving on to the next thing.

ASHLEY DAVIS
I hired Jun as my tennis coach to ground me properly in the basics of tennis. I am around 40, had played a bit of social tennis as a kid and as an adult but was never schooled in the basics. Jun was excellent in breaking down my tennis to various components and helped me to significantly improve my game. I found him very clear in instruction and a very friendly, easy going guy. In my final session, he videoed my shots and summarized the key areas for me to remember and focus on. I would have continued with Jun except that I have unfortunately left Singapore. I have no hesitation in recommending him as an excellent tennis coach for all levels and ages. CAPSIAfter watching me hit a few balls and some services, Jun identified few weak areas which can be corrected with changes in technique or fundamental changes in a few cases ( like holding grip and ball toss while serving ). Apart from that he helped me adjust my racket swing and backhand stance. His tennis training method includes video capturing your shots, letting you know the point where you are making mistakes. For someone like me who does well in training sessions but not so much in games, he also helps with some drills to get well prepared for the matches
I was using a beginner's racket before ( not cheap though :p) which i only realized after tennis lessons with him and he suggested the right racket type after analyzing my game. Now with my new racket and confidence i gained after tennis lessons with Jun, i feel i have a much better service, forehand with more depth and top spin with increased accuracy. |
MADDYI first found Jun on my explore feed through his tennis videos. Unexpectedly, he conducted tennis lessons as well which was great timing because i was trying to improve to compete in my school's A division tennis competition. To be honest, initially, his credentials intimidated me, as an Indonesia who recently moved to Singapore, i have never trained with a tennis coach here, But i definitely do not regret choose Jun as my tennis coach. His love and passion for tennis - and not to forget his affordable rates and flexible schedule - makes him an excellent coach. Most importantly, tennis lessons with him were never boring.

SHANKAR JAVAHARI started out as a beginner, having never played it but interested in doing so. I believe that i had progressed pretty quickly in the last few months since I started taking tennis lessons with Jun.
Jun is great tennis coach. He constantly encourages you to improve and knows how to push you to improve yourself. He has a great eye for details as he is very quick in identifying any mistakes in the mechanics of your strokes. He always provides constructive criticism to improve your stroke and your game. Learning with Jun has been a pleasure and a really enjoyable experience for me. I would definitely recommend him to anyone who is looking to learn tennis or is keen on improving their game. |
JASON UNTUNGJun is a brilliant tennis coach who is extremely knowledgeable about the game, as can be seen from how he is always able to find the exact problem with my strokes. He gives excellent advice on how to fix the problems as well, and is much better than many other tennis coaches, who typically only feeds you balls, only occasionally giving advice. Jun makes sure that every ball hit is purposeful, and gives you feedback on pretty much every ball hit. Tennis lessons in Singapore with Jun are extremely effective and enjoyable.

PHAM MINH TRIHighly recommended for both beginner and advanced coaching alike. My buddy is beginner whereas I have played competitive tennis before and both of us improved thanks to him.
For beginner level, my buddy gets the basic strokes done in only 6 tennis lessons, which is ridiculously fast. People usually take around 3 months. As for me personally, what I like about his coaching are: - He has genuine competitive tennis experience. Not many coaches can teach game strategy like shot selection, positioning, setting up, etc. - His tennis coaching is more all-rounded. Most coaches only focus on the swings, but Jun works on other aspects like upper body stability, footwork, timing etc - He will spar with you instead of just feeding the ball. There are also many mini-games, drills and foot work exercises. |
LIKAwesome coach. Always wants the best for his students. Focused on techniques and correcting skills to bring your tennis to the next level. Highly recommend if anyone wants to improve on their tennis. Jun has a lot of match play experience as well, so he teaches you how to be more aware of yourself on court and also important fundamentals essential to win your tennis game.
