RenatoTennis CoachTennis is mental sport as much as physical . Someone described it as high speed chess. I would like to impart the knowledge that I have gained through my experiences as a tennis player to anyone who is keen on learning tennis.
Nothing beats the sense of fulfillment you get when your students make progress in their tennis. The values and principles that you pass on to your students on court would also leave an indelible mark both on and off court. |

Jonathan
Tennis Coach Hi, I’m Jonathan. My tennis journey began at the age of 9, when I first picked up a racquet outside of my school’s co-curricular activities. Despite my primary school not offering tennis, I found myself drawn to the sport and quickly developed a deep interest in it. What initially seemed like a challenge soon became something I truly enjoyed—tennis taught me patience, resilience, and the importance of strategy. In my early teenage years, I represented my country club primarily as a singles player. I also took my training a step further by attending tennis boot camps in Thailand, where I was exposed to different training methods and environments, pushing my skills beyond what was available locally. These experiences in the competitive scene taught me valuable lessons: how to handle pressure, the importance of mental toughness, and the need for consistent improvement. During my university years, I deepened my passion for tennis by serving as the Vice-President of the recreational tennis club. I also began teaching beginner students, focusing on the fundamentals of the game. This role helped me discover my love for coaching and the fulfillment that comes from helping others develop their skills. Watching my students grow and seeing their excitement as they mastered new concepts reinforced my belief in the power of sport to inspire and connect people. However, even with my teaching commitments, I continued to compete, representing my school in various tournaments. The competitive scene continued to offer me new challenges and experiences, reinforcing the importance of hard work, adaptability, and mental focus in both training and competition. Tennis is a sport that constantly pushes you to evolve, and I’m excited to share that journey with my students as a coach. Achievements:

Tennis Coach At six years old, I discovered my love for tennis while playing with my dad, and that passion has only grown stronger over the years. I joined the tennis team at Hwa Chong Junior College, where I developed an interest in competitive tennis, and I now play for the Singapore Institute of Technology. Tennis has always been my way to relax and unwind, and I stay connected to the sport by watching Tennis Opens during my free time. Currently studying physiotherapy, my goal is not only to help players improve their skills and discover the joy of tennis, but also focus on injury prevention and safe practices on the court. As a coach, I’m excited to share my knowledge, passion, and commitment to safety with every player I work with. Achievements:

Tennis Coach I began playing tennis at the age of 8, introduced to the sport by my dad, who nurtured my early interest in the game. Without receiving formal coaching, I relied on self-learning and perseverance to develop my skills, which made my journey all the more meaningful. My passion for the sport truly took off when I decided to join the tennis team in my first year of university, where I began taking the game more seriously. Now, as the captain of my university's varsity team, I’m constantly looking for ways to improve myself as a player, and what better way to grow than by helping others develop their skills and love for the game? Tennis Coach I first picked up a tennis racket at the age of 9, inspired by watching my cousin play and sick of going to swimming school wanting a change of sport. From that moment on, I was hooked, dedicating myself to improving my game and deepening my passion for the sport. Being coached was a vital part of improving my game, having a private coach as well as external group training in the National Training Squad (ELITE Program). Over the years, I competed as a member of my school tennis teams, representing my primary, secondary, and junior college (JC) schools with pride. On the external side, I participated in both local and foreign tennis tournaments, SPEX Junior/Intermediate/Open, ITF(Singapore) and Penang & Perlis international juniors. These experiences helped me develop not only my skills but also a strong understanding of teamwork and competition. Now, as a coach, I’m eager to share my knowledge and love for tennis, helping players of all levels improve, grow, and enjoy the game as much as I have.
