Tennis lessons at Yio Chu Kang Tennis Centre
Keen to have tennis lessons in Singapore at Yio Chu Kang Tennis Centre?
Having tennis lessons at Yio chu kang is really convenient, it is located right next to Yio Chu Kang Mrt as well as Yio Chu Kang bus interchange!
the nearest mall is Ang Mo Kio hub which is one station away, however, there is a 7-11 at Yio Chu kang mrt station, a cafeteria at the bus interchange for bus drivers which is open to public. There is also a market across the road if you are willing to walk for .. around 10 minutes !
At Yio Chu kang tennis center, there are 9 tennis courts available to have your tennis lessons at. Tennis courts 5-8 are a little short on the baseline on 1 side. So if you are competitive you might want to select a court of equal space! tennis courts 1-4 would be a better choice.
The courts here are usually populated by seniors on court 3 and 4 on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8am - 10am. A group of older tennis coaches will usually play doubles from 9am - 11am on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
The ladies of the WITS and LTS leagues also use the courts from 9am - 12pm on some days. On weekends there are STA tennis group lessons ( SPEX ) for kids managed by STA. Private tennis lessons and group lessons are also held here frequently in the evenings!
Overall, it is a good court to play at however, the MRT might be a tad too loud for some players!
*Update: The courts on the weekend from 8am - 10/11am are blocked by ActiveSG and STA from January 2020 onwards
